Bob's Barrels and Boxes

As part of our training programme, Bob Mulholland (Company Manager) has been developing a variety of products ranging from bird boxes and squirrel feeders to dog kennels and duck houses. These will be manufactured and sold at our Waterford site.

We have already received a lot of interest from visitors who wish to purchase hand-crafted items made from reclaimed timber. Bob is keen to develop this side of the project even further and will be producing ever more innovative creations once the new workshop is ready.
The woodworking project provides a great opportunity for our trainees to develop new skills and experience the sense of achievement which comes from creating something with their own hands.

A range of products are shown below with prices. Contact Moray Waste Busters to discuss your requirements and place your order.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE PRESENTLY OFFERING 20% OFF WOOD PRODUCTS

Bugbox kit

Bug box - ideal for encouraging ladybirds, lacewings and other friendly insects into your garden. The box is sold ready assembled with space for you to add your own materials. We used a mixture of bamboo, twigs and plastic tubes in the example pictured on the right but you can use any materials you have to hand as long as they have a cylindrical or tubular shape. The insects will crawl into the spaces to shelter and set up home.

Bumble bee box

Bumble bees are said to be on the decline in Britain. This would have catastrophic results as they play an essential part in pollinating plants. Encourage them to take up residence in your garden with this cosy box. Soft nesting materials may be added as an extra incentive.

Custom made products

We can make a variety of items to suit customers' particular requirements. Each item is unique. The planter/bird table (left) was made with materials taken from a whisky barrel, a fence post, a packing case and a cable reel - a fabulous use of reclaimed materials. The barrel will be filled with compost (the weight of which will also prevent it from being knocked over) and trailing plants will be inserted into the randomly-shaped holes which we have cut into the sides. The seat (right) was made by cutting down a whisky barrel and adding timber from an old bed frame and slats from a wooden blind.

Prices depend upon the amount of time and labour involved in making them.
