TRAINING/PLACEMENT PROGRAMME
Over recent years our Training programme has provided placements for more than 60 people from varying backgrounds, helping them prepare for the world of work. Many of them have received certificated training in Health & Safety, Manual Handling, First Aid Awareness and Customer Care.
We changed our focus in 2008 and have established a programme for disadvantaged adults. They may have learning difficulties or have been out of work for a time and be finding it difficult to get back into employment. Our aim is to provide a secure and enjoyable environment in which they can develop their skills and build up their self-confidence in order to enhance their chances of finding a job which they enjoy.
None of this is possible, however, without funding and we are currently looking for potential donors to assist us with this worthwhile venture.
