Moray Waste Busters is undergoing a major transformation and lots of people have been asking us what is going on, so here is a quick update to keep you informed:

Last year we were awarded a grant from INCREASE through The Scottish executive to help towards the re-development of our current site and we have been working very hard through some very inhospitable weather to get the work done before the deadline for funding expires.

Our planned improvements include:

o A new polytunnel running along from the current one, substantially increasing our sales area;

o A purpose-built workshop in which to undertake carpentry projects. This will allow us to expand and increase our range of woodwork products made from recycled timber;

o A wooden building to house a permanent information display. This will mean we can continue delivering our environmental education programme throughout the year, highlighting the importance of waste minimisation through the 3R's (Reduce-Reuse-Recycle).

So far we have moved the portacabin across to its new position next to the entrance and cleared the site ready for our new buildings. It all looks a bit bare at the moment but rest assured it will be worth the wait.

Completion of this work is only possible with your continued support. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to our success over the years and ask you to bear with us as we hope the end result will be a much-improved facility worthy of Moray Waste Busters' award winning status.
